What courier do we use?

We use Parcel Force for all UK mainland deliveries.

How long will my order take to be delivered?

Most orders subject to stock availability will dispatched the same day if received and processed before 11.30am.This excludes weekends.
Please note that some products have a 2-3 working day delivery time.

What happens if the courier arrives when I'm not home?

If the courier arrives and you are not at home the courier will attempt to call you on the telephone number you provided.
If they still cannot reach you a card with the reference details & the couriers contact number will be left at your address.

At this point you can contact the courier, and either arrange a suitable delivery time, or possibly pick the item up from your local depot.

Can I track the progress of my parcel?

Yes, Please request the tracking number when you place the order and we can email it to you.

How much does postage & packaging cost?

We offer two delivery costs.
Express is for urgent deliveries dispatched the same day as long as the order is placed before 14.00pm and to Uk Mainland only @ £7.64.
Standard is 1-2 days delivery to the UK Mainland only @ £5.88 up to 30 kilos.

Shop Collections:

Alternatively to the above local customers can select the “Collect from Store” option and your order will be processed for collection from our shop, and we will notify you by email and / or SMS when your order is ready for collection.

We will happily reserve your order items for 48 hours before returning them to our stock.

Please note that the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 do not apply to items collected from the shop, therefore you will be allowed time to examine the goods when you collect.

Our Returns Policy

Medway Computers returns policy is designed to offer an efficient and effective method of returning authorised products, whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Cancelling your order

As a consumer, you have a right to cancel your order from the time at which you placed your order with us up to a period of 7 days following the date on which we delivered the products to you.

However, orders for certain items including the following may not be cancelled and you will only be able to return these products if it is proved that they are faulty:

  • Computer software
  • Items that have been personalised or customised for you

If you cancel your order within the 7 day cancellation period, as detailed above, we will refund the credit card which was used to purchase the products, as soon as possible and in any event no later than 30 days from which you notified Medway Computers of your cancellation.

Damaged boxes

For damaged boxes these should be noted on the relevant courier documentation and signed as 'damaged' wherever possible.

Shortages

Any shortages should also be noted on the relevant courier documentation wherever possible. Please sign as 'short' and list how many items are missing.

Faulty products

Upon receipt of products returned as defective we will undertake a verification process which may include (without limitation) an assessment of the time period since delivery and whether any repairs have already been attempted. Products may be repaired and credit will only be issued against a successful verification and confirmation that the products are faulty and are not capable of repair. In the event of any discrepancies during the verification process, these will be advised you in writing and may result in the products being returned to you.

How to return a product to Medway Computers

To return any products to us you must first obtain a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN). To do this and ensure that your return request is handled efficiently, it is important that you follow the procedures listed below:

  • Requests for a RAN should be made by sending an email to: custreturns@medwaycomputers.co.uk
  • It is essential that you have your Purchase Order Reference (if you have a credit account) or the date the order was placed (if you used a credit card), together with the Part Number and Serial Number of the products which you wish to return.
  • You will need to give the reason why you are requesting a return.

Please note your request will be acknowledged during working hours. We will endeavour to provide a resolution within 2 working days of receipt of the original request. At times you may be asked for additional information to help with the resolution of your request and on the occasions where more time is required to investigate the request, regular updates will be provided.

If for any reason your return request is rejected, this shall be in written format to the requestor and shall include comprehensive reasons for the rejection.

Once a RAN has been approved, we will send you by email a Returns address of which you will be required to send the product(s) back to at your expense.

Please make sure you pack all products carefully with adequate packaging as we cannot accept claims for any items damaged in transportation back to us. If they turned up damaged we shall notify you or refuse the delivery.

If you are returning a product back that is either not faulty or Not required you will not be compensated for the return cost. You will also be required to pay £8.00 for the return postage of none faulty items.

If the item is found to be faulty you will then compensated for the return postage and we will send you either a repaired or replacement product.

You must also ensure that you get the driver to sign for the collection and you retain copies of all consignment information.

The Returns Authorisation Number is only valid for 10 working days; therefore you must ensure that the Goods are returned to us promptly otherwise we will have to repeat the process which will delay the resolution your problem. Medway Computers also has a right to take legal proceedings to recover products that have either been rejected (whether faulty or not) for which refunds have been made (or replacements despatched) but which have not been returned to Medwaycomputers.com and you may have to bear the costs of such proceedings. You also have a statutory duty to take care of products which are in your control or possession which you are returning to Medwaycomputers.com and we have a right to claim damages from you for loss or damage we incur as a result of your breach of this duty.
